"When I shared the brief for the brand, Hannah got the vision instantly. Whilst I had a pretty clear vision for what I wanted the brand to look like, I struggled with how to articulate it and bring it all together, despite being a marketer myself. Hannah helped me work through my positioning and thoughtfully challenged how I was approaching the brand strategy, which finally allowed me to arrive at the right positioning. I shed a tear the first time that I saw the brand design, it was everything that I imagined and so much more."

The Brief
Out Of Office is a modern, community-led brand designed to support people navigating their careers with more intention, connection, and confidence. It was created as a space that felt less like a traditional corporate career platform and more like a cultural hub, inspired by the warmth and personality of lifestyle brands.
When Lexi came to us, the business was still in its early stages. The vision was there, but it felt scattered and hard to articulate. She knew she wanted to launch with a strong, standout brand that would immediately set the tone for the community and position it as something fresh and distinctive. However, without clarity on positioning or a cohesive identity, she found herself procrastinating and struggling to take the business seriously.
The goal was to bring structure to the vision, define a clear brand position, and create a visual and digital presence that felt culturally relevant, emotionally resonant, and built for long-term growth.

The Challenge
Before working together, Out Of Office struggled to clearly define what it stood for and how it should show up in the world. Ideas felt fragmented, making it difficult to communicate the value of the community or move forward confidently with launching and growing the brand.
Lexi had a clear sense of the feeling she wanted to create, something more like a natural wine bar than a traditional career brand. However, she found it challenging to bring that vision together into a structured, professional brand that could be applied consistently across all touchpoints.
Without a defined identity, messaging framework, or visual system, Out Of Office lacked the tools to build credibility, attract attention, and create momentum from day one. It needed a brand that could immediately stand out, feel polished, and support growth across socials, website, and community platforms.

The Strategic approach
The strategy focused on shaping Out Of Office into a culturally relevant, community-first brand with a clear point of view. We worked closely with Lexi to refine the brand positioning through deep strategic questioning and discussion, helping bring clarity to her ideas and articulate the mission, audience, and tone in a way that felt authentic and compelling. The goal was to move away from traditional career branding and instead create something lifestyle-led, warm, and expressive, while still grounded in professionalism and purpose. This strategic foundation ensured that every future decision, from content and community-building to website structure and partnerships, would feel aligned and intentional.

The Creative approach
We wanted Out Of Office to feel like a brand you would stumble across in a backstreet bar, not something you would expect from a career platform. The direction was led by Lexi’s vision to move away from corporate polish and towards something that felt cultured, magnetic, and grounded in community. We built a bold but warm identity, pairing a refined serif wordmark with expressive colour and editorial layout moments that gave the brand both clarity and charm. The goal was to create something that felt lived-in and easy to connect with. Confident but not loud. Stylish but not trying too hard. A brand that feels like it belongs in the real world, not just on a LinkedIn feed.

The Results
“The brand positioning work we did together was such an aha moment for me. The questions and discussions helped bring my thoughts to life and finally shape the brand in a way that made sense. I went from feeling confused and stuck to having total clarity on how everything fits together and how to articulate it to the world.”
“I shed a tear the first time I saw the brand design. It was everything I imagined and so much more. I loved the first draft instantly, and throughout the process the team were so collaborative, thoughtful, and supportive. The brand guidelines brought everything together so clearly, and the Figma templates have honestly been a lifesaver for keeping everything consistent.”
“Launching with such a strong brand has made a huge difference. I’ve had so many people reach out to say they love the brand and its design, and I’ve had way more reach than I ever expected, especially on LinkedIn. Having such a strong aesthetic across my website and socials has given the business a real edge and sense of professionalism from day one.”
